The Tanzania People's Defence Force (TPDF) displayed a single Norinco VT2 main battle tank for the first time during the parade in Dar Es Salaam to mark the 60th anniversary of the East African country's independence on 9 December.

The VT2 is the export version of the Type 96A tank that is used in large numbers by China's People's Liberation Army but was not previously known to be in service with any other militaries.

This a f*ckn big deal… Holly cow!… KDF is about to be equipped to another level especially in areas of tactical air superiority and intelligence gathering…. You have to understand the issue to appreciate what this means…. We might even get predator drones … We gonna be too powerful.. now i know why they have decided to lengthen the runway at Manda Naval base..has to do with OGP..I really hope this doesn’t trigger Russia or China to counteract the US by empowering Uganda or Tanzania just to challenge their rival..at least please not Bongo … 🤣🤣
