Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

Alafu unaona response hapo ya viongozi, kesho au kesho kutwa itakua kama hakukua na shida ya mafuriko. Nyie mnayo mpaka misaada hiyo.

NairobiWalker there your proof for reporting, ipo all media.
Are you trying to say in Kenya if a river floods like that it will remain flooded the next two days even if no more rain falls or what are you trying to say exactly?

First, my aim to quote you is to show you that Our media is reporting flooding.

The first paragraph ni gvt response for flooding explaining why after muda tunayasahau.

For your statement ni yako mwenyewe.

Your media is useless. The fact that you still genuinely believe the situation in Tanzania is way better than the situation in Kenya tells it.

Which response exactly? I don't see anything different from what is happening in Kenya. The only difference is, Kenyans are criticizing their government while Tanzanians are praising theis government.................as usual.

Just Imagine Mabasi 798. Wakati Kenya Sidhani hata kama yanafikia 100.

Look at it this way, Jamii Forums has shared a photo of a flooding river with a washed road with a caption that the government has promised to restore communication in 3 days and you're celebrating that as some form of media magic. Meanwhile, in Kenya, a similar situation would be reported in the following way by not one but all TV and Radio stations:-
1. The flood will be reported as shown in your photo.
2. The magnitude of property destroyed would be listed.
3. The number of deaths caused will be reported.
4. People who lost loved ones will be interviewed.
5. People who lost property will be interviewed.
6. The interviewed people will be asked what the government has done for them as compensation and ensuring their well being.
7. The media will find out how government officials arrived at the scene. Situations where government official spend lots of money mobilizing themselves to the scene while the victims remain ignored will be highly criticized.
8. The media will dig deeper to find if the destruction could have been prevented either by building proper infrastructure or controlled construction. In the situation where the tragedy could have been prevented, this would be highly criticized.
9. The media would be awash with photos of the victims and how they're coping.
10. Due to this comprehensive coverage, a raging conversation would be sparked on social media raising numerous government critics hence the numerous tweets you see your countrymen sharing on this forum.

Now you see why I tell you that your media is useless? In your country, this is a minor issue that the mainstream media 'touches' for a few minutes before going back to celebrity gossip, Simba and Yanga and praising CCM government. In fact, the few minutes dedicated to the floods mainly focuses on praising what the government is doing rather than the victims of the flood. Your mainstream media now is where our mainstream media was during the Nyayo era.
