Kilwa kuna manuscript ya Kiswahili ya Ibn Batuta ya miaka ya 1300! BTW Lamu was part of Zanzibar so even if it was to be the first the credit should be given to Zanzibari sultanate!

Kilwa was a Swahili City State, not the origin of Swahili wee makende. Lamu was part of Zanzibar Sultanate, but Zanzibar was not the origin of Swahili. Swahili started in Lamu then spread to the rest of East African coast. Swahili City States such as Gedi, Kilwa, Zanzibar etc developed along the cost with Swahili culture. Zanzibar Sultanate was the last and the biggest of them all. That does not erase the fact that Swahili started in Lamu. Remember Lamu is older than Zanzibar and Swahili language is older than Lamu town.

You are confusing a civilisation and language. Swahili predates both Lamu town and Kilwa town. Swahili originated from the area that is now Lamu County in Kenya and spread all over the East African Coast. From the language, city states sprung up from which Kilwa was one of them. Kilwa was a bigger Swahili Civilization than Lamu but it is not the origin of the language.
