M23 were matching towards Goma and Kagame people warned them to reconsider unless they wanted to sign their own death sentence….Kagame knows KDF capabilities… M23 cannot survive strategically and prosper without Goma and especially the Airport, the getaway point for the billion dollar precious mineral industry…..meaning they have to use the Kigali route therefore exposing the trade to international observers…KDF is a thorn in their flesh… that’s why they are inciting the masses against Kenya with threats ….. the problem is we have a small batch of soldiers on the ground… a mare single battalion…. You need more boots on the ground for the task… but i agree it might not be worth it… just protect the strategic importance places for our mutual National interest….

No Kenya Special Forces have ever lost a battle to any terrorist group…. You are talking of the Kenya Army regular units…. a battalion was caught sleeping with weak periphery security and got almost decimated…..it was the poor decision by the FOB commanding officer and he was fired next day…there was no buffer zone….it could happen to any fighting force… you don’t guard a military camp in the war’s frontline while everyone is asleep like that…. It’s even in their training manual..just a crazy commander who slept on his job….. btw the same Al Shabaab unit that attacked the KDF camp got wiped out by the Army’s 40th RSF special Forces a week later….
