I never said that apartments are the only solution. Still, they’re very good because they can house so many people and take up very little space. In a country where land use is not strictly regulated, people take land for granted. Hong Kong and Singapore are classic examples where high rise apartments are built because there’s just not enough land to house everyone via individual housing units.

Unlike Hong Kong and Singapore, we have plenty of land, yet we fail to realize the importance of using it well. Young people can’t afford to buy a home or build one. The same goes for people who migrate from rural to urban centers. When they arrive in the city, they build cheap, informal houses, which make up more than three quarters of Tanzanian urban centers. Therefore, more apartments should be built to house these groups.

Most rented apartments in Tanzania aren’t high rise buildings as people rent parts of their private homes. The fact that they do this shows that urban planning does not exist in this country! Places that are meant to house individual family homes are often transformed by adding additional structures, which ruin the designed plan for specific areas. No wonder suburbs in Tanzania look so messy and disorganized! That’s why in some countries, you cannot add rooms to a home until you get permission from the city/town council.

If we build more “high rise” apartments, it’ll become much easier to house more people, use up less space, and make it easier to develop well planned cities. If we increase the supply of apartments, rent will become cheaper. Thus, Young people and those who can’t afford to build or buy good quality homes in well planned areas will be able to live in appropriate places. So, we’ll say goodbye to informal settlements.

He went to Congo with great help from Russia, Cuba and Tanzania and the prime motive was "regime change" to get rid of a puppet regime. He called off the mission due to what he counted in his book, Congo Diary; "Laurent Kabila (then age 26) not the man of the hour"

Your so called "UN owned website" attests to the same facts that I earlier stated in may previous posts: such could have never happened without the knowledge and approval of Tanzania's state security organs.

I quote, "He was introduced to me by a Tanzanian Intelligence officer that I had known by name of James Nzagi." Why would Tanzania do that without having had a vested interest in that project?
"I heard of Mr. Kabila, having some bases in the eastern mountains of Congo" Why would any country play a host to such a person without sharing identical ideologies?

Did Tanzania try to oust Mobutu, YES. However small, did Tanzania play a role in the latter project, ABSOLUTELY.
