Paipu, Getho, parts of Umo, Kayole na hizo ghorofa zote, ungem, etc ni ghetto bro., not extreme but ni ghetto by any standards, of course not all of pipeline, Umo or getho is that ghetto, same as Kibera area, even Moi has a house in Kibera, Kabarnet Gardens, Riara uni iko Kibera area, Kuna flats za Kibera, but kuna extremes, Ghetto za majuu mostly ni flats(zinaitwa projects)., You see factors like lifestyle, crime, amenities, space/congestion and standards of living za watu speaks volume., Dar the last I was there what I depicted, residential is like "korogocho".., panya routes, funny looking houses, one door alafu ndani Kuna milango kadhaa people living in one or two roomed houses, with bathroom n toilet outside, alafu wanasema hizo sio slums, but standards ni zile za ghetto tu.., making flats za Kayole, even though places like Kayole and likes of getho are considered ghettos, they seem better, ju mostly watu wako na choo na bafu ndani..,

I think there is a big difference between Ghetto and Slums. I don't understand how you can call an estate full of apartments slum. Slum the world over means houses that are completely substandard for example houses made of mud, mabati, carton boxes, or even polythene. Sasa nyumba ya ghorofa na ina maji, stima, choo, na bafu ndani, balcony, sitting room, bedroom na imejengwa na mawe utaaiitaje slum? Utaicompare vipi na nyumba za Kibera zenye zimejengwa na mabati? So these estates of Umoja, Githurai e.t.c can be called Ghetto, I have no problem with that but they cannot be called slums.
