i can say, zimbabwe, just like kenya or ghana or even zambia, etc. were built on very strong colonial foundation, that can clearly be read on their architecture, infrastructure, urban planning, education systems, english as official language, and the whole system of country in general..
i'd say colonization was more of an advantage and blessing to us than was it not their. even wishing the white men could have left our country in the 90's like the case with south africa.
just remaining uncolonized is a big demerit to a country, like the case with TANZANIA and ethiopia or liberia. as much as they seem to have enjoyed freedom, but tht way left them the most ignorant and impoverished countries in the world. as much as they seem to be growing now, tht growth was just realised the other day. visa vie, they started everything from scratch. otherwise prior to tht, they were at the bottom list among the poorest nations in the world. Nb: liberia still is.!
i still wonder how tanzania qualified to join as a commonwealth member country, yet it was very briefly colonized by the germans who never left any tangible impact at all, tanzania had to started everything from 'zero', just as recently as from the 2000's.. . which is why kenya or zimbabwe (was it only not for mugabe) have always been ahead of tz ever since the dawn of colonial era

Your proficiency is undoubted,back to the point,Tell me the demerit of not being colonized as far as Tz is concerned....as far as i can remember Tz was once colonised by Germany and later British before fully independence 1961...it looks like you've no idea what Tz went through before it becomes a United republic. And reminds me how far is Kenya from where Tz is?
