Nairobi has a lot of problems in comparison to developed countries, Still a long way to go, but things like the Nairobi Metropolitan Service are our new hope of achieving a modern city in the few years to come. However, Nairobi cannot be compared to any other city in East and Central Africa because those are the real shit holes.

They don't understand. A metro is formed when a town or city outgrows its administrative boundaries, swallows the nearby towns to form one huge built up area.
So may be they think these regions are not built or filled with dream houses like Dar.
Tanzanians should know that you will not realize you are out of Nairobi county into Machakos or Kiambu, or Kajiado because the place is all built up to form one huge Metro Area
