Unajua it come a time wananchi wakiamua hata uibe vipi hutashinda.

Wanafiki tu. Si uliona Kibaki alipommwaga Moi? Hata siku Morgan akimmwaga Bob basi watammwagia sifa kedekede.Halafu siku ya kuapishwa Morgan utaona wanaanza kujipeleka na kusema tulikuwa tunaku support what hypocrites
they are?
BENEDICT BROGAN said:
Emergency aid for Zimbabwe will be tripled to £ 1billion as part of a British-led rescue operation to be launched within days if Robert Mugabe is ousted. British officials are putting the finishing touches to an ambitious package designed to pull the country back from the brink of collapse.
Under pressure: Robert Mugabe is said to have won just 43 per cent in the presidential poll
Details of the scheme emerged as the 84-year-old dictator defied voters by clinging on to power, despite growing evidence that he lost Saturday's elections. The state-run Zimbabwe Electoral Commission dealt a hammer blow to his hopes of staying on by admitting that his Zanu (PF) party lost control of parliament.
And the mainstream opposition Movement for Democratic Change claimed its leader Morgan Tsvangirai secured a narrow but outright majority in the presidential poll. The long-serving dictator, who was last seen at the weekend, was holed up with his cronies as international pressure mounted on him to concede defeat.
Poll dispute: Robert Mugabe may have been ousted by opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai
Zimbabwe was gripped by rumour and uncertainty as its hard-pressed people, struggling to cope with inflation at an astronomical 100,000 per cent, waited to discover their fate.
Negotiations brokered by South Africa which had raised hopes of him going quietly collapsed late on Tuesday. The despot made it clear he was determined to cling to the power he has held for 28 years, since independence from Britain. His Deputy Information Minister Bright Matonga said: "President Mugabe is going nowhere.
On a knife edge: A woman takes time out in Harare to catch up with the latest election news
''We are not going to be pressurised into anything.
"The army is very solidly behind our president, the police force as well. "We are not going to be rushed by anybody. "They can make statements left right and centre, but they are merely wasting their time." Mugabe allies have warned darkly that any attempt by the MDC to claim victory would be seen as a "coup d'etat" by the army and the police. Mr Tsvangirai's MDC said he had won 50.3 per cent of the presidential vote, with 43.8 per cent for Mugabe, according to its own tallies of results posted outside polling stations. But with no official result declared, it was clear Mugabe was playing for time.
For the first time, his mouthpiece, the state-owned Herald newspaper, said yesterday projections for the presidential election showed Mugabe would fail to win an outright majority.
That would mean a run-off election between him and Tsvangirai within three weeks of last Saturday's polls. It was thought he was putting all his hopes in being able to rig that election and declare himself the victor.
New hope: Zimbabweans desperate to withdraw cash queue
outside a bank as chaos threatens
But the signs are clear that his iron grip on the country is slipping and that even his control of powerful security forces and militias may be ebbing away. So it would be a high-stakes gamble to go for another election in which he risked humiliating defeat by such a massive margin that even he would have difficulty trying to fix. The prospect of a runoff has raised fears both inside and outside Zimbabwe that the hiatus before a new vote would spark serious violence between security forces and militia loyal to Mugabe on one side and MDC supporters on the other.
In London the Government stopped short of explicitly endorsing the MDC, but backed the widespread belief that Zimbabwe has voted decisively to end a reign marked by economic collapse and human rights abuses. Behind the scenes, officials were completing preparations for an international rescue operation that has been prepared over years in anticipation of his departure. Despite the abuse hurled at the West by Mugabe, Zimbabwe currently receives £350million a year in foreign aid, mainly food, help with clean water, and measures to fight its HIV/Aids epidemic.
Whitehall sources said three major donors, the U.S., the EU and Britain, were now ready to triple the total to more than £1bn.
Britain's current contribution of £40million will be increased to more than £100million. Zimbabwe's economy has been comprehensively wrecked by nearly 30 years of incompetence by the Mugabe regime, which has turned a country that was one of Africa's power-houses into a basket case. But economists say it could be turned around within five years in part thanks to new techniques ready to be deployed by the International Monetary Fund to control inflation and restore the currency.
Urgent talks are under way between major donors to ensure the international community moves swiftly if a legitimate government is elected.
Governments will divide up which sectors such as health, law and order, education and infrastructure they will concentrate on.
Foreign Secretary David Miliband praised Mr Tsvangirai's behaviour as "statesmanlike". He added: "The delay in announcing the outcome must be seen as a deliberate tactic."
Official figures said the combined opposition had taken 105 seats in the 210 seat parliament with one going to an independent, and 94 seats going to Mugabe's ZANU-PF.
No official figures of the presidential poll have been issued, leading to fears that Mugabe may be doctoring them. If he declares that no-one has won there would be a run-off, though few believe he would win that, either.
The guy is so resilient and I admire him for that.
We can decide to be part of the struggle rather than to just wait for success to fall freely from heaven, which is unlikely to happen!
TUTAAMKA TU tupeni muda mana hawakutegemea zimbabwe kufikia hapo walipo leo.
