Huu ni uamuzi mzuri alochukua kijana mwenzetu ingawa unakumbwa na maswali kutokana na kwamba yumo katika mfumo wa siasa ambao una "circles" zilizo na mtizamo wa kupata umaarufu na baadae kukusanya mali halafu mwisho kustaafu ukiwa hujafanya chochote kwa wananchi wako.

Tumeliona hilo kwa mgosi anaeshikilia kiti mzee Shelukindo na ushauri wangu wa bure kwa mgosi mwenzangu Januari ni kwamba endapo atapitishwa na wananchi na kuwa mbunge mpya wa Bumbuli basi awe na ofisi jimboni humo na awe anaishi Bumbuli na awe akienda Dodoma kwa shughuli za Bunge tu.

Kwa kufanya hivyo atakuwa karibu na wananchi na kufanya mambo yote ya maendeleo anayoyasema yeye akiwamo.

Nani kakuambia Januari ni Mgosi??? soma historia yake vizuri utajua....ni Mhaya kutoka kwa mama yake na hajawahi hata kuishi huko bumbuli..alipofika Bumbuli wazee walimshauri kama unavyomshauri wewe awe na makazi jimboni, alishauriwa anunue kiwanja na ajenge lakini akaleta usanii mpaka leo hajasema lolote...watu washamuona ni msanii na aliyetuma na kundi fulani...

Sasa basi je kwa Tanzania hiii kunatatizo gani ambalo hao wabunge wetu waendapo bungeni wanashindwa tetea miswaada ya manufaaa ya nchi na kupitisha miswaada mibovu huko bungeni?

Vijana ambao wanao wanaia ubunge kwa ungwe hii wao wamejiandaa vipi ambao twawaita Taifa la Leo? Me ninge isifu sana UVCCM kila ilipo nchi nzima kuchagua viongozi inao waona ni swafi kwa maendeleo yao na si bora kiongozi ati umembiwa na M/kit wako kuwa fulani atatufaa sana wajua yule fulani ni mtu mzuri sana kuliko fulani hapo jua kuna chuki ndani yao hawatufai hao,

Itakua ngumu kwake kutoka kwenye kivuli cha baba ake na raisi anayefanya nae kazi kwa karibu. Hata iweje ushindi wake utaonekana ume changiwa kwa kiasi kikubwa na watu waliomzunguuka. Kama aki "bahatika" kushinda ubunge hukumu yake itakua hiyo miaka mitano ata kayo kuwa nayo kuji tofautisha na kivuli kikubwa kinacho mfunika. Ita chukua muda na kazi kweli kufanya hivi. Kwa kiasi fulani naona advantages alizo nazo kama mtoto wa fulani ndizo zitakazo kuwa disadvantages zake kwenda mbele.

Uzuri ni kwamba hao ambao sasa hivi wana mkingia kifua hawata baki madarakani milele. Baba yake si raisi mstaafu kwa hiyo sidhani kama atakua na advantages za wakina mtoto wa Karume na Mwinyi pindi mzee wake Makamba aki toka madarakani. Kwa maana hiyo iwe isiwe lazima merit zake zi "kick in" at some point kwa maana bila hivyo hato fika mbali kisiasa.

Mr. Prime Minister, Your Excellencies,
Ladies and Gentlemen :
It gives me very great pleasure to welcome an old friend to
Tanzania. For although Mr. Lee Kuan Yew was not Prime Minister of the
independent state of Singapore when he last came to Dar-es-Salaam, we
did have an opportunity then to understand his commitment to unity among
under- developed countries. In addition, some of us had the opportunity of
meeting Mr. Lee Kuan Yew at the last Commonwealth Conference, where
his outstanding ability and devastating frankness made him a valuable ally
and friend but a very dangerous opponent. These things, Mr. Prime
Minister, made me very glad that Singapore and Tanzania usually found
themselves on the same side when the Conference was discussing
international affairs.​

But it is not only because of respect for the Singapore leaders we
have met that I am happy the Prime Minister and his colleagues have come
to Tanzania on their way to Lusaka. For the fact is that we in this country
need to know more about developments in Singapore. Of course, we can
read the reference books. We can learn that about 2 million people live
on 225 square miles - which means a density of well over 8,000 people to
the square mile in Singapore, as aginst about 36 to the square mile in
Tanzania. We can learn, Mr. Prime Minister, that your country has the fifth
largest port in the world judging by the amount of goods passing through
it. We can understand - and envy - your very large provision of higher
educational activities ; we can understand the unemployment problems of a
state where rapid population increase cannot be met by calling for
expanded agriculture. And we can see that industrialisation is a matter of
human survival in your country, not just a question of balancing the
economy and laying the foundation for future prosperity - as it is with us.
But these and other facts only raise questions in our minds. They do
not answer very many. For you, Mr. Prime Minister, are known to be a
socialist, and you lead the People’s Action Party - a sociality party. We
therefore want to know how you are tackling the capitalist industrial
complex your government inherited , and how you deal with the problems​

of socialist management of industry. Indeed, with a population density like
that of Singapore, and the problems arising from rapid economic growth,
we want to know how your Government and Party cope with the basic
questions of ensuring human dignity for all your citizens.
Let me hasten to add, Mr. Prime Minister, that I do not expect you
to answer all these questions this evening! But our desire to hear from you
on these matters does not arise out of simple curiosity. Tazania’s
problems are very different from those of Singapore, because our
inheritance and our geographic and economic circumstances are very
different. Yet we believe that socialists must learn from each other if they
are to avoid unnecessary errors and achieve the maximum speed of
advance. And we do have the need to establish an industrial sector of our
economy ; otherwise, for all our natural resources, we shall remain with a
degree of poverty that makes Singapore look almost rich by comparision.
Therefore, we want to know in order to learn from your country.
There is , of course, the further factor that greater knowledge of
each other, and greater understanding of our different roads to socialism,
might well reveal areas of possible co- operation between our two
countries, especially, perhaps, as regards trade.​

All these matters will come out for discussion during your visit, Mr.
Prime Minister. I suspect there will be a further subject too - world
problems as seen from East Africa, and as seen from South East Asia .
This too can be a fruitful discussion. For althiough our priorities of
concern are naturally different, both our governments are nationalist as
well as socialist. The people of Singapore, as well as those of Tanzania,
have experienced racial discrimination and the indignities of colonialism.
Further, both our governments recognise that only through unity will the
peoples of the Third World be able to defend their independence or
overcome their economic backwardness.
Thus, Tanzania’s priority concern with the problems of Southern
Africa and the need to give support to the freedom movements of that area,
I know, receive the full understanding and the co-operation of Singapore.
Southern Africa represents the ‘ unfinished business’ of the African
revolution. Our young states cannot concentrate on the problems of
developing in freedom, while this colonial and racial domination continues
on our continent.​

Mr. Prime Minister : It is not really my task tonight to announce the
agenda for our discussions. Nor do I wish to make a speech at you - I
would rather listen to you. Let me conclude, therfore, by repeating our
hope that your short stay with us will be beneficial to our respective
peoples, and enjoyable to you and your colleagues.
I therefore ask you, your Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen, to
join me in a toast to our guest, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, and his colleagues, and​

Sadly money is always the motive. Any young and talented Tanzanian wants to make money and live a comfortable life where all his/her needs are met plus most if not all of his/her wants. There is no young person who wants to go in a sector where there is no chance for growth and an opportunity to make a lot of money.

Since now politics seems like the most lucrative "sector" in the nation that's where all the young minds are going when given the chance. It is true we need young leaders be it in the private sector, public sector or politics. But I fear that most of my fellow young men and women are going into politics for all the wrong reasons.

I can't deny that my old man has been a very big influence in my life and growing up I have always wanted to be like him if not better than him. I think it's a something every son will admit to. The phrase "like father like son" is very common especially to those of us who grew up close to our fathers. What we forget is that we share genes with both the father and the mother. Thus while most of us sons would love and hope to inherit the talents of our fathers that is not necessarily the case.

So I urge my fellow youngsters not to take the phrase "following in daddy's footsteps" to seriously. As young men we should strive to create our own paths. If we are lucky enough to inherit the gifts and talents of our fathers then it's all good and well. If our talents lie elsewhere then that's where we should be. Sadly however, some young men are even following in the footsteps of their very UNtalented and UNgifted parents who also ventured in fields they were neither born or prepared for.

The Kid has put a book that outlines nia na misingi yake ya kugombea ubunge, I dont think anybody has done anything close to this in Bongo. Instead of folks at least be happy on this transformational act towards evidence based policies--and at least showing seriousness to transform politics hapa nyumbani--at his age. Wabongo wanakandia. Now, why don't you guys go back home and DO SOMETHING instead of sitting on your computers and have baseless hating. And remember the incumbent has already spent 10 years as a mbunge. The kid has attempted to conduct a thorough research the jimbo, outlined the problem--offered solutions and put them in a book for everyone to read. And folks in JF still do not acknowledge that. I thought that is a progressive things and this platform applauds innovations in politics that will move us forward. I know few ****** will come with counter arguments from this post. Go ahead, but your consciouses zitawasuta. You can't give me a reason not to applaud his initiatives as of now. Time will tell. Remember, you can't change a sh!t sitting on your computers, then go and pay taxes to some foreign government. Come out here--work, see the people, learn and offer your contributions even if in a small way. Changes in Tanzania won't come by offering baseless (at times untrue) attacks on the internet or by cheerleading populist political tone. The issues towards maendeleo are complex, and needs deep understanding of policies and how international world works with a steel spine. If it was easy we are could be developed now. You really wanna fight ufisadi? Come out here and do something about it. And not shouting profanities on JF, which will create hate and animosity more than solving problems.
