The best finishers in the Premier League last season in terms of goal conversions:

🥇 Alexander Isak (25%)
🥈 Bryan Mbeumo (24.39%)
🥉 Jean-Philippe Mateta (23.3%)

Mohamed Salah was fourth (23%) and Joao Pedro was fifth (22.22%).

This is why I wouldn’t be against Mateta at Liverpool - he’s a good finisher.

Slightly older than the usual profile but for the right price he’s a proven option for next season.

Then next summer, when the market is better, Liverpool can go all out to sign the no.1 player on the list, if he’s not available this summer.

Manchester United visited the Anfield memorial today to pay tribute to Diogo Jota and Andre Silva.

Flowers were laid by Ruben Amorim, Bruno Fernandes, and Diogo Dalot – all Portuguese compatriots of the late brothers.
This touching gesture of solidarity shows once again that football goes beyond rivalries.

Tributes for Diogo and Andre continue to pour in from all around the world.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold out, Dominik Szoboszlai is one of the top candidates to take over set-piece duties at Liverpool. At RB Leipzig and Hungary, Szoboszlai regularly took free-kicks, corners, and even some penalties — and he's known for his powerful and accurate deliveries.

His technique, long-range shooting, and crossing ability make him a natural fit to step up for set-pieces in Trent’s absence. We might also see Mac Allister or Salah involved in certain situations, but Szoboszlai should be first in line for direct free kicks and corners, especially from the right side where a right-footer can whip it in.

🚨 Liverpool have received €67.5m official bid from FC Bayern for Luis Diaz this week.
