Pep is second to none with regards to EPL coaches/coaching we have to admit that neither Klopp nor anyone come close to him in competency of winning EPL

AND ALSO we are so resource poor at the moment(its all on FSG) which makes us scraping beings (Its Either poor form of Pep's City or no way we are winning EPL)

Lakini even the best do have a bad day in the office and Pep sometimes anajikuta with all the depth bado anafungika maana sio kila wakati the boys wanakua same level...

No really man.

Managing the squad and getting the results aint abouts money alone.. Pep tactics are the best his 4 3 3 formation damn really swift and milks the opponent to the maximum...

Mind you Pep has got a huge squad from which he can chose who starts and i can assure you he's got 20+ players who can be in the first team.

I will give my hat off to Pep kama atafanikiwa kwenye team ambayo haina uwezo wa kuwa na world class squad.

Ndio ninachokisema hapa

Doubt if Pep can even dare stress himself na mabosi uchwara kama FSG he ain't cut for that shit...

Pep ni most sought manager in the world so why go so low kwa ma bosi uchwara...

Muda mwingi amepata value for money..

Umesema kweli captain. But say tumpe Pep team kama Everton. How would he fare?

Wakati tunawatamani wamiliki wa Manchester City wangekua hapa Anfield tazameni FSG wanavyochaja mbuga kusaka timu za kununua.. Yaaani tumepatikana.. Klopp ndio injini wa kila kitu pale yaaani...

FSG empire set to grow as Liverpool owners near £8bn milestone

Liverpool owners FSG are close to sealing a deal to take control of the Pittsburgh Penguins NHL team

The Fenway Sports Group empire is set to grow even bigger.

The last time that FSG purchased a team was 11 years ago when they arrived at Liverpool to bring an end to the deeply unpopular era of Tom Hicks and George Gillett at Anfield.

The next decade was spent building up the business side of Liverpool from a club that brought in £183.6m of revenues in 2010/11, to one that, the year prior to the pandemic skewing football's finances, delivered £533m in revenues. That represented an increase of £349.4m, or 190 per cent.

In 2015 the club turned a profit for the first time since 2008, and that theme has largely continued, notwithstanding the impact of the pandemic on last year's accounts that turned a £42m pre-tax profit into a £46m pre-tax loss in the space of 12 months.

When FSG, or New England Sports Ventures as they were then known, arrived in 2010 they had ownership of two teams already.

The Boston Red Sox baseball team was taken over in 2002, with FSG delivering a first World Series in 86 years two years later, and another in 2007. They have won two more since then, in 2013 and 2018.

The Red Sox were purchased for $700m (£518m) in 2002, a value that has since ballooned into $3.bn (£2.6bn). When including the real estate developments around their Fenway Park Stadium, some estimates suggest the total value attached to the team and the real estate is close on $4.8bn (£3.5bn). That real estate, while linked to Red Sox, actually has its value in another FSG business, Fenway Sports Group Real Estate.

In 2007 they took on Roush Fenway Racing, which became RFK Racing last week after driver Brad Keselowski became a co-owner of the NASCAR team. The value of RFK is estimated to be around $150m.

Liverpool were purchased by FSG for £300m and have turned into a £3bn business in 11 years. The global appeal of the football club and the ability to leverage the success that has been achieved by Jurgen Klopp and his side has seen an surge in the value of the club as a business, making it the 12th most valuable sports team in the world, eight spots ahead of the Red Sox.

The past 12 months has seen FSG kick into gear with their plan for 'FSG 3.0' and a new era of the company over the next decade or so.

The introduction of $750m of capital into the business through the RedBird Capital Partners investment for 11 per cent of the FSG enterprise back in March started the ball rolling on a number of other projects

RedBird's expertise in building businesses and in monetising the space around content is a major part of the plan, while basketball icon and business mogul LeBron James converted his two per cent of Liverpool into one per cent of FSG, with FSG inviting James and business partners Maverick Carter and Paul Wachter to become partners.

Last month saw FSG take a slice, along with RedBird and Nike, of James and Carter's $725m valued SpringHill Entertainment company in another sign of the direction that they are seeking to head, as well as the growing relationship between FSG, James, RedBird and Nike.

FSG also has Fenway Sports Group Real Estate, the NESN regional sports TV network and Fenway Sports Management in their stable of businesses, but it had been more than a decade until another had been sought.

While there has been no official word from FSG on the matter, it is understood that a deal to take an ownership stake in the Pittsburgh Penguins NHL ice hockey team is close, with a valuation for the team around $845m (£626m).

FSG had been seeking other teams ever since the RedBird deal was announced and have looked, and continue to look at, teams in the NBA and also more European football teams.

If, as is expected, FSG clinch the deal for the Penguins it would likely push the overall value of the businesses in the FSG empire past the £8bn mark. A valuation rise of some £4.78bn in the case of both the Red Sox and Liverpool has taken place since FSG arrived at the helm of both teams. That is a rise of 584 per cent.

With a record-breaking new media deal having been clinched earlier this year for the NHL over the next seven years, the Penguins are an attractive value proposition. FSG will be seeking to employ what has worked elsewhere to grown their empire further, with more
teams likely to arrive in the not too distant future.
