Against Spurs & WH, he deployed Shaqiri as an inverted 10, and Thiago as 8, but against Brighton, he shifted Shaqiri on the left, and instruct him to play further forward with Salah on the right, he wanted Shaqiri to play as Mane, this was wrong, Shaqiri only excells as a 10 kwenye 433, and ocassionally as a RW, but on the left? that was tactically wrong, Ok, so lets say Klopp thought the MF ingeweza ku-move the ball forward, kiungo mwenye hiyo license ya kupress & move the ball from deep areas ni Milner, so how can attacking outlets get the ball? Firmino (who is finished physically, has to drop close to Milner to help him progress the ball and press into wide areas and allow trent to overlap and cross a long ball to dwarfs (Salah & Shaqiri), this is because our ST is busy trying to press, & Thiago is busy covering for Salah who is busy timing Trent crosses (Salah cant track back, so its must for his side kuwa covered especially ikitokea counter), this results kwa sisi kushindwa ku-create a single chance, because when we attack the shape changes into 2-6-2 (hope the diagram below will provide a clear picture) with only 2 attackers upfont from wide areas, we stay in this shape to manage & control counters, yes tunafanikiwa but it doesnt help when we are shit kwenye set pieces, so just go out and attack, you cant expect Henderson to keep a clean sheet as a CB, he's not Fabinho.
Play Thiago as an advanced 8, get him close to our attackers, let him be a free roamer like spurs & WH, let him set & open chances, why did we buy him if we cant use his strengh? tumetumia uwezo waks kidogo tu against Spurs & WH na tumeona matunda, kwenye hizi games mbili sidhan hata kama tulifikisha crosses 15+, maana against WH, kwa dk 90 hatukufikisha hata crosses 8, but against Brighton ilikuwa ni hoofing party.
You cant excuse injuries against teams like Brighton, Klopp got outclassed by Potter, not tactically but sababu ya kuwa naive.
