Chelsea are in negotiations with former Manchester City keeper Willy Caballero, according to the Daily Star.

The Argentinian will be released at the end of his contract while the Premier League champions are looking to replace their former No.2 keeper Asmir Begovic.

Chelsea are readying a €51m bid for Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Premier League champions will offer Insigne €12m a season if Eden Hazard leaves to join Real Madrid.

When’s their trickiest run?

It’s not so much a run as a pair of back-to-back fixtures which jump off the page - the two Manchester clubs away from home (Feb 23 and Mar 3) within seven days of each other. Factor in their setting amid the Champions League Round of 16, and it takes on the look of a potential decisive period in their season.

When can they pick up the most points?

If the champions are hoping to build momentum heading into Christmas then a run of games which comprises Swansea (H), Newcastle (H), West Ham (A), Huddersfield (A) and Southampton (H) over late November and December looks like the perfect chance to do so.

What’s their run-in like?

Relatively easy. Only Liverpool are a top six opponent in their final six matches, during which they also play Huddersfield, Swansea and Newcastle.

Who have they got after European weeks?

This is where it gets tricky for them. After four of the six Champions League group rounds, they will face Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United at home, as well as a trip to Liverpool.

What one fixture will the fans be looking forward to the most?

The first away match of the season is at Wembley against Spurs. We have a feeling this one might just be televised.

This would not be new behaviour for the tactician, who did much the same with Juventus when leaving two days into pre-season training.
