Manchester United flop Radamal Falcao took a £145,000 wage cut to join Premier League champions Chelsea on-loan.

Desperate to prove his worth in England following a miserable season-long loan in Manchester, the Daily Mail claim.

Falcao has reduced his wage demands from an eye-watering £285,000 a week to £140,000 in order to move to Stamford Bridge.

Falcao scored just 4 goals in 29 appearances at Old Trafford last season and eventually found himself down the pecking order behind the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and James Wilson, form that ultimately led to Louis van Gaal deciding not to pursue a permanent deal.
