Mourinho set to become first Chelsea head coach to sign a contract extension in a long, long time
Mourinho returned to Chelsea in 2013 by signing a four-year deal with a yearly wage believed to be around £8.5 million. And in the two years since, the Special One managed to win a Premier League title and the League Cup, putting the Blues once again as a domestic force to be reckoned with.
Now, according to reports from the London Evening Standard, José Mourinho and Chelsea are set to extend their partnership for four more years.
José Mourinho has committed his long-term future to Chelsea by agreeing terms with [the club] on a new four-year contract. The deal, which will see Mourinho remain on his £8.5 million-a-year salary, is expected to be officially announced before the start of next season.
