DROGBA NETS IN IVORIAN FRIENDLY
Posted on: Tue 05 Jan 2010
Didier Drogba nodded home the only goal of the game in an African Nations warm-up game against
Tanzania on Monday.
The forward, who only played the first 45 minutes, headed home Emmanuel Eboué's cross six minutes before half-time to give his side the win.
Coach Vahid Halilhodzic changed his entire side at the break, meaning Drogba and Chelsea team-mate
Salomon Kalou were given a rest.
Les Elephants will also play Rwanda on Thursday in their final friendly before the tournament, with their first competitive game against Burkina Faso on Monday, in what Drogba has said will be his last African Cup.
