Some of the places they list as slums ni Ruaka, Githurai, Riruta, Ruai, Kayole and many other such places. Below is Ruai for instance. Kama Ruai below is a slum, what will we call Tandale?

There's something in economics called supply and demand. There might be oversupply of malls in Nairobi but do you think these investors are pouring billions of their money without conducting some little research on demand? Do you think they would be building those malls if there is no ROI? The simple fact that there are so many malls in Nairobi is enough to tell you that there are enough people shopping in those malls because that demand is the key reason that drives investors to build those malls. The demand (shoppers) is already there and that's why those malls are built in the first place so this talk of Nairobians not shopping in malls doesn't add up hata kidogo. Almost every estate in Nairobi has a mall today
