The port has 14 berths, after two new ones (13 and 14) added three years ago. Tanzania hopes to increase its container throughput to 28 million tonnes a year by 2020, from 20 million tonnes currently.

Currently, the Dar es Salaam port has only two container terminals — one is run by the Tanzania Ports Authority and the other, called Tanzania International Container Terminal, is operated by Hutchison Ports Holdings. Both are the lift off/ lift on (lo-lo) models, which mostly use cranes thereby limiting their capacity and efficiency.

There things I will never want to compare with Tz and Kenya, Parks and Resorts.. In this two is like Identical twin brothers wakishindana nani more handsome... We can compare with west Africa.

We have so manu tourism towns in Kenya than Tz.

Tz tourism towns is centred in Zanzibar and Arusha while Kenya Kuna Diani, Malindi, Kilifi,Watamu, Malindi,Mombasa,Lamu,Nyeri,Nanyuki,Naivasha,Nakuru,
This are places with mass tourism and not stop overs I have left out parks and reserves..

Last year local tourism numbers are were over 4million am sure local Tanzanians will hardly hit amillion mark.
