Nairobi Rivers Regeneration Project
1. Nairobi River
2. Ngong River
3. Mathare River

The rivers cut across Nairobi from slums to poshy areas.
China man with all his wisdom, rightly so, chose to start work from the most difficult areas; the slums and most polluted areas.
Those are the photos I have posted that your Tandale brain is failing to grasp.

Project Scope for those without bundles to watch the video:

1. New Trunk Sewer Line along both sides of the entire river. No more waste going into the river. Those are the 'tunnels' in the pictures.
2. Expansion and deepening the river.
3 Construction of new waste water treatment plant at Kariobangi
4. Initial comprehensive Rehabilitation of Dandora Garbage Dumpsite: Garbage recycling plant in planning, but not part of the $400 m.
5. Transport infrastructure: Pedestrian walkways, bicycle lanes, parks, bridges etc. along the length of the river, but more when the river enters town.
6. Red Ribbon Park, Public spaces, pavilions, water features.

Plus so many more..

Eti unaita mabomba ya kawaida ya zege ya kusafirisha maji taka (Trunk Sewer Lines) kuwa ni "tunnels" 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 Tangu lini ujenzi wa mtandao wa maji taka ukaitwa mega tunnels? Unataka kuaminisha watu hapa kuwa mnasafiri chini ya ardhi kumbe ni mabomba ya inchi 32 ya kupitisha maji ya vyoo kutoka mabandani, acha ushamba wa kulazimisha ukubwa mzee mwenzangu.

Huu mradi wenu wa Nairobi River unaoupigia upatu hapa umekuwa mradi wa kupiga pesa tangu miaka ya 1990 enzi za marehemu John Michuki. Unadhani hatujui 🤣🤣🤣

Hivi tukianza kukuwekea hapa mradi wa DMDP (Dar es Salaam Metropolitan Development Project) si utapoteana mzee. Tukikuwekee mradi Coco beach si utaanguka na kifafa? Bado kuna miradi ya BRT ambayo ni ndoto yenu isiyofikiwa.

Huo mradi unakaribia karne sasa labda uje na jambo tofauti na mradi huo, watu wote wanaujua maana kila mwaka unatengewa bajeti tangu miaka ya 1980s

The sewer line is big and wide enough for Uber driver Traveller D kuendesha Passo yake ndani.

There is no $400 million project going on in Dar vumbi. Does dar even have any park worth mentioning?
