This is why visionary leadership is vital to take any country to the next level. Though Kenya is slowly moving forward with the Lapsset project , imagine if the final goal has been accomplished by now ( it should since this a Kibaki era initiated project). The line from Lamu to port Doula Cameroon 🇨🇲… passing through Sough Sudan, Central Africa Republic and eventually Cameroon with connection lines to Ethiopia , Republic of Congo and DRC.
With this Middle East crisis , majority of East to west bound commercial ships and vise versa would be now docking in Lamu and the cargo transferred back to sea at Douala . Kenya and Cameroon would be making a killing right now….. hopefully this project is done in next 5 yrs .

ati to south Sudan n central Africa to Duala, Cameroon? keep dreaming hata Kisumu haitafika in the next five years! kumbuka hata Lamu pipeline from Lokichar is no more! As investors have abandoned the project!

Fiscal space hata ya kununua dawa tuu hawana ndio itakua SGR. You need a real GDP economy to do that sio mchezo mchezo tu wa maneno kisa election.

Alivyo mjinga anafikiri Doula haina Sea port. it is cheaper to go round the cape than using land to and fro Doula/Lamu

Unadhani ni project rahisi kama kuchoma mtura nini?

Mambo yamesha shift from Dar port to Benguela Port Angola ... TAZARA tayari ipo on place na sasa hivi Iko under heavy maintenance ... Na pia kwenda Matadi Port Congo ambapo DP world tayari wamechukua Bandari na wanaendelea na ujenzi mkubwa.

So from Dar tunajiunga na Lobito corridor from Zambian copper belt to Angola via Ndola... Pia same TAZARA can link us to Congo via Kasama Marshalling. Bado kuna Karema Port in lake Tanganyika... On eastern side kuna construction of SGR line to Congo Via Burundi all the way to Matadi Port.

Hiyo ya kwenu huko ni ndoto ya mchana... Huku central corridor mambo yapo kwenye utekelezaji tayari.
