Do basically you are acknowledging that both Tanzania and Uganda don't have state-of-the-art stadiums ama what's exactly your point? And where did you read that opening and closing matches must only be played in State-of-the-art stadiums? Does that mean that all the other matches can be played anywhere? That even CCM Kirumba in Mwanza can hold such matches as long as they are not the opening or closing matches?

Are you aware that hiyo loan imekuwa ukiimba hapa minus wakenya? It's Kenyans that took that bond, so sijui ni nini inakuwasha. Hiyo pesa serikali italipa wakenya and so the money will still remain in Kenya.

what i mean is, the open and closing are the biggest even of the tournament and they involve so many guests and live events such as shows, introduction to the country and visitors! you see AFCON is a loss making tournament for the host but you still have to host it anyway for people to know about kenya, so you cant just use kasarani as its old and doesnt motivate talent searchers to come to the country together with other tourists to visit the country and explore plus watch matches
So to solve this, the first match and the final are the most watched and details are important, thats where a new stadium comes to play, but who wants to construct a new stadium for just opening and closing while the whole event is even a loss making tournament? thats were kenya comes in the pic
However it wasnt just easy as saying kenya its your turn, the other factors example direct flights which nairobi is best for that, alot of international flights and also good hotels, with all these it was enough for kenya to be forced to take the lead, but the question is! WHATS next after afcon? thats where your missing the big puzzle
Uganda doesnt need a new modern stadium as the league is small, tanzania can take the task but do we really need another 60k stadium? the answer is NO, life after AFCON will force the country to focus on loans repayment.. so it wasnt alsoan easy task but thank God kenya agreed 🤣🤣 or else the event would have been in arusha because thats the only place with ease of access and world class hotels, with that said, we are happy you took the task and we wish you the best on paying back 100b as interest on the loan
