Mombasa City on the other hand has grown beyond its municipality boundaries (Which coincide with County boundaries. Mombasa County land area is 219 sq. km but the total urban conurbation is much larger. Remember places like Likoni and Mtwapa are politically outside Mombasa City but within the Mombasa metropolis. The more reasonable cities to compare with Arusha in Kenya are Nakuru and Eldoret where Nakuru is better than Arusha in infrastructure while Eldoret is slightly smaller but comparable. Mnapenda kujifurisha vifua. The other day mtu alitaka kufananisha Zanzibar na Mombasa. Mkuwe serious. Mombasa Metropolis has about 3M people, Arusha has 600k, Zanzibar has 200k. Mombasa metropolis alone has more people than the whole Arusha region. How can you even compare?
