Nairobi to Mombasa can be 503, 477, 480, 485 etc, it dependa where you start measuring the distance from in Mombasa and where you stop measuring in Nairobi. 500km is just the estimate because the road hasn't been constructed yet. Even your fellow Tanzanian put Arusha to Moshi at 90km yet the distance is slightly less than that (82km) and I don''t see you having a problem with it - in fact all the distaces are estimates.

BTW, I just noticed that the distance from Mbeya to Tunduma is 103km, not 220 which brings your total to about 483, not 600. I also doubt the whole stretch will be a dual carriageway. I think it's just a section of it that will be.
