let me save you the arguments, time and energy. i do not subscribe to the idea that a country has to be subservient to anyone to become developed and i also dont think that the americans and the west are the good guys or the lesser evil.

i have zero problem with aligning with anyone based on equality and mutual respect but the west and americans have shown themselves several times that they neither respect africans nor view us as equals.

So according to you who should be our partners because clearly we need one. A foreign power house who's going to help us build our democracy, Military, institutions, economic output.
