The US has the most untapped oil reserves in the world… We import oil coz it’s cheaper than locally producing it..but still we export oil especially the one produced in the gulf coast… US oil is controlled by the world market forces…… but when it comes to LPG , that’s where the US leads, a top 5 world exporter … btw… we don’t call it Liquified Petroleum Gas ( LPG)… we call it Propane over here…. Similarly we say gas not petrol, hence gas stations as we call them..
