Nairobi Metro (Urban) = 7M people.

Mombasa is not 'slightly' bigger than Mwanza. Mombasa is over 2 times the size of Mwanza.

That is including the rural areas, for the Urban ni about 7M. Tusiwe kama wabongo tunahesabu the whole population within demarcated boundaries ndio mji uonekane mkubwa. Remember the proposed Nairobi Metro extends to rural areas but the build up area is what I am talking about because it gives a clearer picture of how big the city is.

Nairobi Metro has 10 million people. 5 million people ni population ya city proper. Nairobi metro covers the population of towns in 4 surrounding counties of Kiambu, Muranga, Kajiado and Machakos.
