True. This bridge is next to Kenya's second busiest airport (Moi International Airport, Mombasa) hence it is forbidden to build tall structures near the airport. Whether it is buildings or bridges, they have to be of a particular height to ensure that an aeroplane that is taking off or landing can do so safely. Some of these suspension bridges are very tall structures and cannot be built on a flight path.“Basic,” yet it still serves its purpose. I think design is determined by how much you have in the pockets, geographic factors, and urban planning. Planners & engineers don’t opt for cable stayed/suspension bridges just because they want their projects to be aesthetically pleasing!
