Chamoto, like I always tell you, stop arguing like some of your dense brothers here. You know very well for a country to be classified as developed, it needs to meet some parameters. One of those parameters is a GDP per capita of at least $25,000.

Who puts those parameters in place and for what purposes? Who is printing that fiat money, not backed by anything other than a smoked screen, and supposedly to reflect the world economy? If the currency used as a yard stick for the GDP is based on hope, a facade, don't you think the GDP is also a wrong measure of economic development?

Russia has a GDP per capita of $11,600 and China has a GDP per capita of $11,800. Both countries need to more than double their GDPs to hit developed status. Those are facts, not opinions so why do you want us to keep on going in circles as if I am arguing with a clod like The best 007 ?

China is not yet a developed country, si hata they started industrializing in the 50's during the era of Mao Zedong. Russia with a HDI of 0.82 is a categorized as a developed country or a developing country . Depends with the metrics.

I've argued it here many times before that these figures (nominal GDP) represent nothing other than reflecting a certain narrative. You can't tell me, one green pepper sold in the US for $1 should adds $1 in to the US economy while that same vegetable sold in Tanzania for $0.0001 should only add $0.0001, and that is supposed to be the standard for world economy.

The multiple effect of this narrative is what makes China nominal GDP per capita $11,800 while a tiny Ireland republic gets $94,556.

Can Ireland $94,556 economy really able to build 240,000km of high speed rail network in just 20 years? Because, if China with $11K was bale to build 30,000km in 20 years then Ireland should be able to do it eight times that level without breaking a sweat. You see how flawed this correlation between GDP and development is?
