Kasarani is my second home, there is no place like what you are showing. What we are trying to say here is that, Nairobi and Dar es Salaam are two very different cities.
Nairobi, has slums, but the slums can only be found at specific places. It has zoning rules. You can not built shanties anywhere like in Kilimani, Runda, etc. No shanties in the CBD.

On the other hand, Dar es Salaam claim to have no Slum, however it has no zoning rules and therefore housing is chaotic. No CBD. Shanties can be found literally anywhere in Dar es Salaam. That is why this Vlogger was wondering.
Why have a very beautiful Tower in the middle of shanties!?
This makes Dar es Salaam one big Slum or rather, a fishing village.
