'The penalty decision was the turning point'

On a disappointing defeat...
We were not sharp enough to create clear-cut chances. Saturday's result had no knock-on effect because I had seven players who did not play and I had to rest some players. I think we had enough on the pitch to make a goal.

On a frustrating night...
We could play ten matches like that and win eight or nine times but tonight was the one we didn't [win].

On Carlos Vela's penalty claim...
It is difficult to understand how we did not get a penalty. The five referees is not an answer to the problem. The turning point was the penalty - I still cannot understand how Carlos Vela got a yellow card. It remains a complete mystery.

On needing a point against Partizan to secure qualification from Group H...
It is hard to swallow, but now we have to win our last game. The most important thing for us now is to qualify. It is good that Shakhtar play against Braga but they are the super favourites to win the group.

On the fitness of Emmanuel Eboue and Cesc Fabregas..
Eboue will be out for a while and we will have to asses Fabregas tomorrow. It could be two to three weeks. It is very disapointing because I had a hesitation to play him before the match started. I took the gamble and it back-fired on us.

Sio kwamba hatuna imani na Wenger ama tunapenda turudi enzi za kina Graham, ila kwa kweli tumegundua Premier league imebadilika sasa tofauti na miaka 6 nyuma, yaani hii ligi sasa imegeuka kuwa kama serie A, tactics imekuwa ndio sehemu kubwa ya mechi.
Hii ilianza baada ya kuja Maurinho ambaye ni bingwa kwa upande wa kusoma timu pinzani na ku-deploy tactics husika, na kwa sasa makocha wote wa timu za chini chini akina blackpool, Stoke, Wolves etc. wanakopi style ya Maurinho kwa sababu ndio style pekee ya ku-survive kwenye EPL kwa timu ndogo.
Mzee Wenger yeye nadharia yake ni beautiful football, flowing football na mambo ya tactics haelewi kabisa, philosophy yake ni kwamba good flowing football will always be a winner against tactical football, na hii ni wrong philosophy kwa sababu tumeshaona mara kadhaa tunashindwa na timu zenye kutumia dirty or defensive tactics.
Tunahitaji mtu kama Rijkaard na tumuachie Wenger apande juu kwenye Board.

JOSE MOURINHO has launched a vicious attack on Arsene Wenger.

The Real Madrid coach taunted his rival over Arsenal's failure to win a trophy in the last five years.
Mourinho rapped: "He should especially explain to Arsenal supporters how he can't win one single little trophy since 2005."
The former Chelsea boss was retaliating after Wenger denounced Real's controversial time-wasting tactics at Ajax on Tuesday, which saw two of the Spanish giants' players conveniently sent off.
He also mocked the Gunners' 2-0 midweek Champions League defeat by Braga, which has left Arsenal in danger of crashing out, and slammed the Frenchman's claims his side is still mostly inexperienced.
Mourinho added: "Instead of speaking about Real Madrid, Mr Wenger should speak about Arsenal and explain how he lost 2-0 against a team in the Champions League for the first time.
"The history about the young kids is getting old now.
"Sagna, Clichy, Walcott, Fabregas, Song, Nasri, Van Persie, Arshavin are NOT kids. They are all top players."
Wenger has angered his old Premier League adversary after slamming Real's antics near the end of their 4-0 win in Amsterdam.
Mourinho and four of his players have been charged by UEFA with improper conduct.
The Real chief is accused of instructing midfielder Xabi Alonso and defender Sergio Ramos to pick up second yellow cards deliberately and be sent off so they will be banned for their team's 'dead' final Group G clash with Auxerre and then take clean disciplinary records into the knockout stage.
Mourinho pleads not guilty but Wenger hit out: "It's a pity to see that from a big club. It looks, frankly, horrible. You don't want to accept that."
