Look here, Wenger saying that we want to sign special players and yet the only signing is SANOGO does not make sense or help us at all given the current situation we are in. I watched him (Sa No Go) yesterday, albeit for a mere 30 minute display and I nearly cried. I am not downplaying the prospect of Sanogo in the future, he MIGHT become a better player, just MIGHT. Alex Song was awful during his debut days, one day he was substituted at half time because of how awful he palyed and everyone booed him off to the tunnel and we thought that was it for him at Arsenal but he came back and became a key player but only after YEARS of development and that is one amongst the few who made it. We have had a lot of 'deadwood' recently who are a product of us signing players on a free or at the cheapest price because we believe we will develop them into better players (And I think we did that due to financial strains which are not there anymore so why pull the strings now?). Meanwhile, we are are in a situation where we NEED players who are ready to deliver NOW not prospects or anything like that. We need to be a threat and that should start with our team sheet. As soon as the opposition see, lets say, Suarez starting upfront, Di Maria on the wing and Higuain on the bench, they know they are in for a massive game. But seeing Sanogo and Frimpong on the bench does not scare the sh*t out of anyone (Sadly). By the way, did you see Cazorla's face when Sanogo shot for the skies when he passed to him? He was like, "Man, WTF?" Yes, because he needs better players to finish off the chances he creates. With that said, we have 4-5 days (Sunday does not count and the WINDOW closes on Monday 2nd of September) to set things straight.
Note that: We have 12 outfield players at our dispose. I am not counting the likes of Sanogo and Frimpong because, you know why. The rest are out injured. And even if they were all fit, the squad lacks depth. 4-5 days Arsene, 4-5. *sigh*
