Dr WHO: How does the land redistribution programme justify the torture of people perpetrated by Mugabe Government? How do you justify the killing of people undertaken by Mugabe/ZANU PF armed forces? How do you justify the plundering of economy and other miseries Zimbaweans are experiencing? In my view the problems happening in Zimbabwe have been caused by a clique of people in ZANU PF led by Mugabe.
The fact will prevail and I am assure history will attest to this fact that: After, Mobutu, Mugabe and ZANU are the worst evils Africa and the world have witnessed!
What has been astonishing to me is the silence from AU and African governments. The young generation of African leadership should never tolerate what we have seen in Zimbabwe under any circumstances whatsoever! African leaders should not be allowed to hide their tyrany under the cover of a noble course such as land resditribution.
Mugabe would have carried out the land redistribution programme without torturing and killing people and without enchroaching on democracy and human rights. We should never allow Mugabe and ZANU PF to use land redistribution to justify their evil in Zimbabwe.
Just like Nyerere and Nkurumah, Mugabe is the victim of racist demonisation at its worse, and as I said certain things are so transparent it is laughable. 'That does not mean Mugabe is going to get the title of African leader of the century. But he may well do, as 90 percent of what is being pushed here, I know is intuitively rubbish; and nobody is going to tell me how academics, lawyers and journalist can turn on a fact or body of facts, to misrepresent a situation.
It is just a fact of life, political science or governance or just plain common sense, to think you can act like terrorist whether right or wrongly and threaten amongst other things to kill the leader ,and to think for one second when Security Forces get hold of you, they are going to give a damn about Geneva, or the precise letter of the law ,or foreign concerns about Human Rights abuse.
Even to think so is pure folly. Having worked briefly with the CPS i can tell you, if someone was found with plans on them to kill Prince William how do you think the police in this country is going to respond, when they hold you. Section 85 of the Crimal Justice Act, I suggest will be torn up or interpreted so widely you might as well forget talking about legal rights. And no Judge in the land unless he has cancer, and with two days to live; and wants to go out in style is going to challenge the Police action.
It is an intrinisic feature of terror tactics used against a government, that it will respond and in that process traditional standards or norms are suspended, as in instances on national emergencies. It is also a fact regardless of context ,that in that response, often innocent people, or just genuine critics, not terrorist may suffer, or have their liberties suspended. These are necessary evils, as Security and Intelligence work is not a precise science. The enemy does not advertise himself usually, and say here I am come and get me.
Zimbabwe has not set up assassination squads like the British government...yes they killed alot of republicans in Ireland and There is nothing I have heard, even from Western media, which indicates to me that things are out of control, in terms of managing dissent in the country comparing to police states like Uzbekistan or China. The government and State of Zimbabwe has to do what ithas to do to maintain order and stability, and deal with those determine to bring anarchy to the nation. That is very simple to understand, and I wish them well in that endeavour.
That said, i am not saying Mugabe is a saint but i am getting tired of these WAZUNGU telling us what to do and not to do...while they say nothing to regimes like SAUDI ARABIA where even elections do not take place or CHINA where they are basically told off
