Executive Chef - Luxury 5★ Beachfront Resort | Zanzibar Tanzania
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at a luxury beachfront resort in Zanzibar.
Responsibilities:
-Lead all kitchen operations and ensure exceptional food quality
-Design and manage à la carte, themed, and all-inclusive menus
-Control food and labour costs, inventory, and kitchen budgets
-Recruit, train, and inspire a high-performing culinary team
-Maintain the highest HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
-Deliver memorable dining experiences while driving operational excellence
Requirements:
-Minimum 5 years' experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury 5★ resort, island, lodge, or remote location
-Strong knowledge of international cuisine and all-inclusive operations
-Proven leadership, financial, and operational management skills
-HACCP certification preferred
-East African experience and Swahili language skills are advantageous
This is a high-volume operation requiring an energetic, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
