[h=3]CESC FABREGAS fancies Manchester United - if Barcelona want to sell him.[/h] United tabled a £26million offer for the former Arsenal skipper yesterday and Fabregas, 26, would relish the switch.
A Spanish source said: "Cesc would only go if Barcelona agreed to sell him.
"The Barca midfield is already looking very crowded for next season and you wonder how many games Cesc will start.
"He wants to play in the World Cup next summer and needs to be playing regularly.
"Arsenal have first refusal on him but he'd prefer a switch to United."
New United boss David Moyes is confident of landing his man after missing out on Thiago Alcantara, who chose Bayern Munich over United when moving from Barca.
Fabregas is just the sort of midfield playmaker United have been after for over a year.
He has just ended a frustrating season at the Nou Camp, where he was left out of many of their big games.
And he now fears he does not fit into the plans of Barca coach Tito Vilanova.
The transfer would be a major coup for Moyes, who is aiming for four big summer signings to rejuvenate the champions.
He is looking for two midfielders, a striker and has already bid £12m for left-back Leighton Baines from his old club Everton.
As well as bidding for Fabregas, Moyes is also looking at Toffees midfielder Marouane Fellaini, 25.
Alex Ferguson's successor has been told he will be heavily backed in this summer's transfer market.
That means Moyes could bid the £22.5m it will take to trigger the release clause in Fellaini's contract - although Everton will not want to lose their star man.

Moyes has confirmed SunSport's exclusive that United have approached Barcelona about a £30m swoop for Cesc Fabregas.

Now Moyes says chief executive Ed Woodward has made an increased bid, believed to be a club record £31million.
Moyes said: "My understanding is that Ed's had a response and he's spoken with them again and we've made a second offer.
"But Ed's dealing with that, rather than me personally here."
United are now awaiting Barcelona's response and Moyes does not want to give up on landing his man.
He said: "I think a point does come.
"But I think when you are interested in good players you want to give it every opportunity to materialise.
"And I'll do that. I'll hope that things can continue to move forward."
United are also interested in landing Gareth Bale from Tottenham and have tried to get Cristiano Ronaldo back.
But the Red Devils fans are getting anxious about landing just one big name right now.
Moyes said: "I can understand that, but there isn't any real update I can give you. But I can understand why that might be the feeling.
"At this moment in time I can only tell you that Ed Woodward is working hard to make the deals happen and we're hoping some of them will fall into place shortly.
"But I think everybody had thought this might be the summer, with there being quite a few changes, my new position and other managers at other clubs, that the transfers are going to be later in the month.
"That was always the thought I had when I came into the job.
"And you've got to remember I only started the job on July 1 as well, so in truth I've only been in this job for three weeks at this moment in time."
