Best Premier League XI this season, according to Sky Sports Power Rankings
The Power Rankings methodologyreflects a player's performance by awarding points for 32 different stats. We used the season accumulative chart to determine which players should make the XI.
David de Gea's selection may not come as a surprise, having kept a league-high eight clean sheets and conceded only five goals for Manchester United this term.
However, the surprise lies in the reserve selection: it's not Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois, Manchester City's Ederson or Tottenham's Hugo Lloris - it's Burnley's Nick Pope.
CENTRE-BACKS
Burnley's James Tarkowski makes the starting XI
Pope's team-mate James Tarkowski makes the cut and represents Burnley in the XI, despite being overlooked by England boss Gareth Southgate for the upcoming friendlies, having won 51 aerials and 78 duels, making 19 blocks and 97 clearances in the league this term.
Manchester City centre-back Nicolas Otamendi secures his place with a league-high 857 successful passes this season, in addition to making 20 tackles and scoring two goals.
FULL-BACKS
Chelsea's Marcos Alonso has scored two league goals this season
Chelsea wing-back Marcos Alonso pips Arsenal's Nacho Monreal to the left-back spot by just 28 points - despite Monreal being favoured over Alonso for the Spain national side.
The 26-year-old has also chipped in with two goals this term and topped the Power Rankings in-form chart for one week in late August.
We've shoehorned Alonso's Chelsea team-mate Cesar Azpilicueta into the right-back position, being the top-ranked defender in the Power Rankings at No 10 - having notched a remarkable five assists.
CENTRAL MIDFIELD
Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne is top of the Power Rankings season chart, while team-mate Fernandinho is at No 4
Manchester City have dominated the Premier League so far this season and they dominate the Power Rankings XI midfield, claiming three out of four positions.
Kevin De Bruyne is the first name on the team-sheet, currently sitting top of the Power Rankings season chart, and starts alongside holding midfielder Fernandinho.
Together, the pair have scored four goals in the Premier League this term - three from outside the box - made eight assists and created 22 chances.
WINGERS
Liverpool's Mohamed Salah makes the starting XI down the right flank
Leroy Sane currently sits at No 3 in the Power Rankings season chart, and the Germany international is the fourth and final City player to make the XI, occupying the left flank with six goals and five assists.
Unsurprisingly, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah claims a starting place on the right after an electrifying start to his career at Anfield, sitting at No 5 in the season chart from seven goals and two assists.
STRIKERS
Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku are the top-ranked strikers in the Premier League
Tottenham's Harry Kane is behind only De Bruyne in the season rankings with eight goals and one assist, but Manchester United's Romelu Lukaku is only 2,000 points shy of the England international on seven goals and three assists
Lukaku topped the chart for several weeks after a clinical start to his United career, but a recent dip in form has seen Kane overtake the belgium. 2017 Sky UK
Tuache na timu yetu mkuu! Mourinho anatuharibia timu...atimuliwe kama vipi! Haiwezekani ampange Mkhitaryan wakati Mata yupo, atakuwa bado anaendeleza bifu la tangu Chelsea. Mkuu Khalifa AM na Jux juma mnasemaje...
Yani kila siku ya mechi naishia kushangilia clean sheet na draw tu...haiwezekani sisi mashabiki tumekataa!!!
