Liverpool FC's net spend for the summer 2025 transfer window is approximately £230.5 million. This figure is derived from the following transfer activity:Incoming Transfers (Expenditure):
Giorgi Mamardashvili: £29 million
Jeremie Frimpong: £29.5 million
Armin Pecsi: £1.5 million
Florian Wirtz: £116 million
Milos Kerkez: £40 million
Hugo Ekitike: £78 million Total Expenditure: £294 million
Outgoing Transfers (Income):
Trent Alexander-Arnold: £8.5 million
Caoimhin Kelleher: £18 million
Jarell Quansah: £34 million
Nat Phillips: £3 million Total Income: £63.5 million
Net Spend Calculation:
£294 million (expenditure) - £63.5 million (income) = £230.5 million
With this in mind, all the envy, jealousy, and hypocrisy from others questioning where we're getting the money and how can we afford more signings?
With the Income from a successful season, topping the UCL group stage with near flawless performance, winning the league, and reaching the Carabao Cup Final combined with record revenues from retail, commercial, and match day earnings and low net spends in the last 3 transfer windows mean we have approx £70M left our initial budget and that's before considering the muted departures of players this summer.
Liverpool can realistically look to raise an additional £200M plus by selling Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich, Darwin Nuñez to Saudi 🇸🇦 Harvey Elliott to ?, Federico Chiesa back to Italy 🇮🇹 Tyler Morton to West Ham, and one of our left backs is sure to depart before the close of the window.
If all those sales go through, that would free up in the region of £600K plus in wages to put towards the new signings still to be made and possible contract extension for Ibrahima Konaté, fingers crossed 🤞
So that's why we can afford to still pursue Aleksander Isak at an eye watering £150M, Marc Guehi for around £45M, and a left winger, which i don't think we need now.
