Ancelotti is roughly on a par with Pep Guardiola, the current Manchester City and former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach, who has also spent in the region of £1bn on players.
His biggest purchase during Barca tenure actually turned out to be a flop - Zlatan Ibrahimovic moved from Inter Milan to Guardiola's Barcelona for £57m in 2009 with Samuel Eto'o going the other way, but lasted just one season.
Guardiola has certainly been unafraid to spend during his time as City boss, paying £60m for Riyad Mahrez, £58m for Aymeric Laporte, £52m for Benjamin Mendy and £50m for John Stones.
That has enabled him to continue a highly-successful career, with City winning back-to-back Premier League titles and a series of domestic cups under his management.

True, I wanted to confirm whether this is one latest news.
Because as much as I understand, Pep has some transfer prices above that of Ibra at City.
