hello folks..
just back from a week long JF ban - some idiot provoked me and I lost it and eventually got myself "jailed"!
so am still catching up on a backlog of a whole bunch of posts that have flooded here since.
back to LFC vs Bayern...
on a night Hendo is our MOTM speaks volumes of how our overall performance panned out. average.
no disrespect to Hendo though because I think he can be good at what he does best.
Salah's inconsistency hasn't reached an alarming state yet but it smacks a massive worry at this crucial stage of the season.
generally speaking, I think Klopp has to slightly tweak our approach to games especially when teams become too defensive against us. kujaribu kuzipita such backlines with penetration balls in the middle can not be always effective.
take Pep for example..... he mostly applies the strenght he has at the flanks to break down deep sitting opponents - the havoc the City wingers cause on the wings tends to pull the opposition's CBs out of position creating spaces which get exploited by the marauding CMs who can score or switch plays in a flash!
in Mane & Salah we have equally strong weapons on the flanks who can to do the same or even better because of the unparalleled Bobby's pressing ability in the middle.
Klopp just needs a proper cocktail of the two tactics - not stick with only one.
HAHAHAHAHAHA pole chief.
Trolls wanaongezeka kila siku kwenye hizi platforms kwasababu tools za ku-access internet zinazidi kuwa cheap kila siku.
Man, Henderson played well kwasababu ya set-up aliyokuja nayo Kovac, same na ile set-up ya Tuchel at Anfield, Hendo had a lot of space to exploit in the middle, because both Bayern and PSG had no defensive mechanism in the MF, so kwa mchezaji ambaye his main attributes ni pressing and running down the ground, ni rahisi kuwa na game nzuri akiachiwa space kubwa mbele yake. Kovac was forced to come out with mid-3 of Martinez/Thiago/James, wachezaji ambao defensive game yao ni poor, Martinez was holding the MF alone in a 3, and we all know he's not that good in impacting defensive transitions, bad enough he had Thiago and James infront of him, ambao ni attacking minded players, ni sawa na Klopp a-deploy mid-3 ya Hendo/Keita/Shaqiri, any professional MF lazima atacheza vizuri against this Midfield, because its too open and consists of two 2nd phase players ambao attribute ya kukaba ni very minor kwao.
LFC fans on here have to keep it in their minds kuwa, Bayern had two of its important MFs out with injuries (Goretzka and Tolisso), Boateng and especially Robben hawakuwepo kwasababu ya injuries, hence Gnabry started y'day, Luckly Mueller was suspended for both ties. so kama kwenye 2nd tie Tolisso/Goretzka/Robben/Boateng watakuwa fit, then approach ya game itakuwa tofauti sana, na this is why Kovac decided to set-up his team for a draw at Anfield, because he knew it for a fact that kuja na kushambulia at Anfield ingekuwa ni suicidal kulingana na Midfield aliyokuwa nayo, unaweza kuona jinsi Kimmich and Alaba walivyokuwa relaxed y'day, these two are bayern's most creative players kwenye flanks, but y'day they spent most of their time trying to mark Salah and Mane from reaching the Bayern box.
Then, i think Bayern were so good defensively considering holes za kwenye kikosi chao kilichoanza, but we could've scored 1-2 goals in the first half kama our final third play ingekuwa more clinical (especially Mane), Bayern got away with murder in the first half, but in the 2nd half walikuja wakiwa wamejipanga vizuri and managed to frustrate us until the end.
That second half display, especially kwenye upande wa attack, is why i think Timo werner is a MUST.
