Back to the topic: Niliwahi kuandika kwenye hii thread kwamba nitapanda Ethiopian nilete mrejesho. Kiukweli nimeitumia mara mbili in the past two months (Dar-Addis-Dubai and Dubai-Addis-Dar). But I have had a terrible experience using the airline and Bole Airport in particular. The airport is simply horrible. Yes, najua kabisa Ethiopia as developing country in changamoto nyingi sana. But with the massive investment the government has made in improving the airline and associated infrastructure. I believe they could and can do better.
I flew Ethiopian from Dar to Addis-connecting to Dubai and elsewhere. the flying experience is zero. Watu ni wengi mno (which is a good thing-but unfortunately not so much a vote of confidence into Ethiopia airline services but rather because of convenient connections and of course the apparent lower cost-which to me it is not). The fact is no order in boarding/getting seats/storing your luggage among other challenges (watu wanagombania kuingia kwenye ndege!). Kabla ndege haijasimama...watu wameshanyanyuka! it is just chaotic scene to witness. The food is horrible simply rice and chicken-all the time I have flew the airline! WC at the airport stinks and are plainly dirty!
I feel sad, because when I see an African country succeeding I feel great because it is Africa-our home. But after trying Ethiopia airline four times, I have made a decision, I will not fly it again. Unless I am going to Addis or there is something urgent. I will revert to fly Emirates. Though najua hela nawachangia waarabu but at least..even if they don't respect me-they respect my hard earned cash! and this is what every customer wants.
However, nawapongeza Ethiopia Airlines. Ingawa customer services ni zero I flew from Dubai using their Boeing it is a comfortable plane. Sasa nashindwa kuelewa kwa nini wasi-improve huduma zao kwa wateja.
They have great planes. They need to improve flying experience for their customers.
NB: I have booked all my tickets online. They have so many hidden costs. So what you see online as the ticket price may not necessary be the amount you end up paying. By the way Emirates has no hidden costs.
