Mambo yakiwa hayaendi vizuri tutailalamikia serikali. Watu wanafanya maandamano sababu wanataka kufikisha mambo serikalini, wanataka dunia nzima ijue kama kuna matatizo.

Hashim Rungwe: Every Political Party Has the Right to Hold Demonstrations to Adress Their Concerns

In a recent statement, Hashim Rungwe expressed his views on the CHADEMA protests, affirming that it is the right of every political party anywhere in the world to hold demonstrations when dissatisfied with certain issues. Rungwe highlighted that the constitution allows political parties globally to stage protests when they feel there are matters that need to be addressed.

He acknowledged that if the party has raised concerns about the deteriorating living conditions, there may be underlying reasons beyond their initial grievances. He reflected on the ongoing problem of power shortage across the country last year when the government used an excuse of lack of enough rain to generate electricity but despite the fact that there was heavy rain currently the problem still persists.

Rungwe pointed out that citizens often resort to protests as a means to draw attention to their concerns and communicate their dissatisfaction to the government. He noted that the ongoing demonstrations may incorporate additional grievances, like the current electricity crisis, as people use this platform to voice their frustrations when traditional channels may seem unresponsive.

He acknowledged that protests serve as a mechanism to bring attention to issues not just nationally but on a global scale, ensuring that the world is aware of the challenges faced by the citizens.
