Look at the version called Aramaic Bible in plain English the same sentence is written as follows
Yeshua said to them: “Timeless truth I speak to you: Before Abraham would exist, I AM THE LIVING GOD.”
The saying; I'm the living God-- it is just among the spiritual parables Jesus spoke to people and I belive he took it from (Psalm 82:6) which runs; "I said, YOU ARE GODS", you are all sons of the most high but you will die like mere mortals. Jesus being the living God does not distinguish him from those who were also called "Gods", they were called so in the same spiritual sense.
Futher more , Jesus saying He is/was the living God, one can deduct that if a "living God" exist there must also be a Dead God., the words "living God" means Jesus possessed power of the holy spirit, the power which emanate from God himself, that is the spiritual meaning of the words.
Go and read Isiah 45:21-22, Jonah 3:5-10, to see who God is.
Numbers 23:19, says God is not man , Hosea () says; I'm God and not man"--- in many places in the Bible Jesus is refered to as a man, John 8:40 says; "a man who has told you truth", meaning Jesus was not more than a man. also we read in Timotheo 2:3; "the man Jesus Christ".
As you may recall during crucifixion while on the cross Jesus cried loudly with pangs; "Eloi Eloi lamasabchtan", meaning Oo God, ooo God why forsake me???!!, Jesus being God, as you claim, then who was Eloi??
