Wenger will look for the blistering pace of Sanchez down the flanks to provide ammunition for Olivier Giroud, who will most certainly through the middle for the majority at times. Thankfully for Wenger, Sanchez is not a stranger to complimenting his team-mates.

He averaged 0.38 assists per ninety-minutes compared to Costa's 0.09, while he also mustered more chances with his number at 1.72 – again bettering Costa's status in La Liga last season.

Wenger will give his men the license to interchange up-front and with the game so quick and dynamic, it suits Sanchez's game perfectly whereas Costa may find it slightly more difficult to adapt himself.

For a swash-buckling striker, Costa had a marginally better take on percentage (35%) and his Squawka Attack Score was just better than Arsenal's new signing (29.84).

Arsenal's new £30 million signing has left the home faithful delighted. A striker with blistering pace, prolific finishing and all the attributes to succeed in England. While Diego Costa's physique makes the more suited to the Premier League in that aspect, Sanchez's season for Barcelona makes him the more fearsome of the pair.
