Any there any outfield players who fancy themselves in goal?

Willian “Maybe David Luiz, he’s crazy enough to be a GK. If we had to put an outfield player in goal during a game I'm sure he would nominate himself. I know John Terry did that in a game before I joined the club.” The Blues on Twitter

Who has been the best player in training recently?

Willian “Everyone has been training well but I would say Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic have been very good. They both bring a lot of quality to the team.” #CFC The Blues on Twitter

Much of this was down to the work (or lack of) of supposed man of the match Marcos Alonso. True, the Spaniard was typically impactful going forward, but his ability to play in a back four - especially of this nature - remains highly questionable. He was continually found wanting in his tracking back and closing down of Hector Bellerin and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Ashley Cole - “Chelsea have gone about their business quiet. They
should be fighting for the title, but I don’t think people are thinking that
way at the minute. To get 6 points from 2 games, it’s a fantastic start.
They’ve just got to keep going”.

*Spurs Had £25m Bid Abraham rejected by Chelsea*

Tottenham had a £25 million ($32m) move for Tammy Abraham rejected by Chelsea on deadline day, as per reports.

Abraham, who was singled out by Mauricio Pochettino to come in and deputise for Harry Kane, was keen on a switch across London but Chelsea had no interest in losing the promising forward to their fiercest local rival.

Spurs ultimately failed to sign anyone during the transfer window, which was a Premier League first since the introduction of summer and winter windows.

It is unclear whether the north London outfit will later attempt another swoop for Abraham, who is set to play in Chelsea’s Under 23 match on Friday having recently recovered from a minor injury.

The 20-year-old has impressed at international level, making his senior debut for England last year, but he has found himself behind both Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

“Do you think Eden will stay at Chelsea?”
The answer from the new coach at this point is probably automatic, which explains the feeling of déjà vuweek after week. And so, once again with emotion, at least for this season, Eden will be a Chelsea player.
“I think [Eden will stay]. Because I’m the coach of a very good team, a great club, and we cannot sell such an important player without the possibility of buying another player at the same level, so I hope Eden will stay for this season.”
