Chelsea drop to 12th position in European club power rankings

Last week's rankings were released before Chelsea's unfathomable 4-1 loss to Watford, so their position now takes into account that result. They take on basement Premier League club West Bromwich Albion at home on Monday evening. They can't lose that one, can they?

The Villa skipper's restraint was tested when he pushed N'Doye away after a foul on his teammate Mile Jedinak, and then went for Terry himself
A mass brawl erupted and N'Doye was given a second yellow card and sent off for the incident with just 30 seconds of the game left to go. As the ball was launched into the box in the last few moments of the match, the Birmingham midfielder went up for a challenge with Mile Jedinak.

Australian Jedinak was brought to the ground in an innocuous fashion, and when tempers flared between the two, Terry stepped in to calm things down. N'Doye clearly wasn't happy with the defender's involvement and proceeded to handle Terry by his neck.



Terry showed a great deal of patience not to react to N'Doye.

Batshuayi left Stamford Bridge to join Borussia Dortmund on a loan for the rest of the season last month.

The Belgian joined the club in summer 2016 but has rarely been given a consistent chance to impress.He scored 21 goals in 55 games for the club, but only 19 of those appearances were starts.

The 24-year-old has started life in Germany in excellent form, scoring three goals and assisting one in his first two games, but Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke says Chelsea refused to sell him.

Mauricio Pochettino was uncharacteristically narky when quizzed about the absence of Toby Alderweireld in his post-match briefing following Tottenham’s win over Arsenal and has since omitted the Belgian central defender from the traveling party for the Juventus game.

Alderweireld has just returned from a three-month lay-off with a hamstring injury, but despite declaring himself fit for the north London derby following Tottenham’s FA Cup replay win over Newport County, the 28-year-old was not named in the match-day squad. Chelsea and Manchester City are believed to be interested in Alderweireld, should he become surplus to requirements at Tottenham.
