Rudiger broke the deadlock by heading past Lukasz Fabianski on 55 minutes after N'Golo Kante's shot had been deflected

German defender Antonio Rudiger scored his first Premier League goal for Chelsea to send them on their way to three points

Chelsea earned a fourth straight home win on Wednesday evening as Swansea City were beaten 1-0 at Stamford Bridge

Centre back Rudiger pointed to the sky as he reeled away after finding the net for the first time in his Premier League career

The Chelsea boss appeared a little surprised when referee Swarbrick dismissed him from the dugout shortly before half time

After being sent from the dugout, Conte looked far from impressed as he took his seat in the East Stand at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea were able to win despite being without star man Eden Hazard (left) for most of the game. He was not in the starting XI

Hazard came off the bench on 80 minutes and it did not take long for him to get involved as Leroy Fer went in hard in a tackle

Striker Alvaro Morata had a frustrating night which saw him fire in six shots without beating Swansea goalkeeper Fabianski

Morata and Fabianki almost got tangled up in the penalty area when the goalkeeper had to step over the forward's head

Despite his personal frustration, Morata was clearly delighted for Rudiger as he and Marcos Alonso helped him celebrate

'It's right to apologise for what happened during the game,' Conte said. 'During the game, in the first half, I saw that Swansea were wasting time. I said this a few times to the fourth official.

'At the same time I didn't see something change. I was frustrated for this situation. I tried to tell again, but then the referee took this decision.

'I apologise for this. I was frustrated. For sure I made a mistake. During the game I suffer. With my players I suffer. It's a pity.'

• 20+ shots, 15+ corners, at least three good penalty shouts, more than a dozen shots on a target and probably just as many half- or near-chances. It was domination everywhere but the one place where it counts, on the scoreboard.
• 3-4-3 to start, 3-5-2 for the final 10 minutes with Hazard coming on for Willian and Drinkwater replacing Pedro. Midfield trio of Fabregas-Kante-Drinkwater is something we might see more if Bakayoko continues to struggle.

• Conte getting sent to the stands is hilarious, as long as the FA don’t compound the referee’s silliness with further suspension. Angelo Alessio capably deputized on the touchline, as he’s done before for Conte at Juventus.
