Reports: Arsenal to make shock €21m move for Chelsea midfielder in January
The Blues star has informed Antonio Conte of his intention to leave in January
What's the story?
Arsenal are ready to confirm their interest in Charly Musonda with a bid for Chelsea's most promising prospect in January, according to multiple reports in the British press. The Belgian midfielder has already voiced his displeasure at a lack of playing time on social media earlier this season and has informed the Blues of his intention to depart in January. Arsene Wenger rates Musonda highly, and the Gunners are reportedly going to swoop in with €21 million bid in January for the promising Belgian, hoping to take advantage of the fact that Chelsea will be forced to sell.

In case you didn't know...
At the tender age of 6, Musonda began his football career in RSC Anderlecht's youth setup in 2002. By the time he was 15, he had already been linked to the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United. Ultimately, Chelsea won the battle for his signature in 2012 by also signing his two older brothers, and paying Anderlecht a 'compensation' fee of £2.25 million. He was sent out on loan to Real Betis in January of the 2015/16 season, which was extended for the 2016/17 season as well, before Chelsea recalled him in January 2017, with Musonda eventually making his debut for the Blues in the EFL Cup tie this season

Just twenty-four hours after we ran a front page article, Click Here, whereby it was stated that Antonio Conte had the full backing of the Chelsea board, something we described a perhaps being the dreaded vote of confidence, it seems that might not be the case.

According to the Spanish news source, marca, Roman Abramovich has already decided to axe the popular Italian.

Our referenced source believes it is hugely unlikely that Conte will be around next season with his relationship with our Russian owner said to be fractured.

Now whether that is the case or not is hard to decipher, but, if Chelsea lose to Manchester United this Sunday, the dark clouds will once again descend upon Stamford Bridge and, as we`ve learned in the past, anything can happen down in SW6 when it comes to the managerial role!

MANCHESTER: Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic says his success at former club Chelsea demonstrates that he has nothing to prove in Sunday’s Premier League clash between the two sides.

Matic joined champions Chelsea in 2014 under former manager Jose Mourinho and helped them win two league titles and a League Cup in three seasons.

The Serbian was reunited with Mourinho at United in July and has been instrumental in the Manchester club’s strong start this season as they sit second in the league standings and top of their Champions League group.“I feel when I played there, I showed them my quality. We won the title twice and also two cups, so I don’t have to prove to them anything. I just have to prove something to my new club,” Matic is quoted as saying by The Guardian.

Antonio Conte has a few selection dilemmas on his hands this weekend, and the fans in the Transfer Tavern have spent the last few weeks wondering what he is going to do.
