LOFTUS-CHEEK JOINS EAGLES

The England U21 international is the first signing for new Crystal Palace manager Frank de Boer, and will spend the 2016/17 campaign at Selhurst Park.

“I had the option of coming to Palace and I thought that it would be great for me,” Loftus-Cheek told the club's official website.

“I live not too far away, I was born in Lewisham and Palace is good club so I thought it’s a good chance to play here and be a part of the team. They have a very strong team and I’d like to be a part of that this season.”

CHALOBAH SET FOR WATFORD MOVE

Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah is having a medical at Watford tonight ahead of a permanent move to Vicarage Road, according to Sky sources.

We understand Southampton and Swansea were also interested in signing the 22-year-old midfielder, whose Blues contract runs out in a year's time.

The England U21 international will sign a five-year deal with the Hornets.

CHALOBAH UPDATES
Watford have signed Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah in a £6million fee deal.

The 22-year old was offered a new contract at Chelsea but wanted to play more regular football and has opted to move to Vicarage Road.

Chalobah, who also had interest from Southampton and Swansea City, agreed a five-year deal and underwent a medical at the club's training ground on Thursday evening before being unveiled.
