Match preview

Chelsea captain John Terry has recovered from injury and is set for a first Premier League appearance since Matchweek 4.

Willian will sit out the visit of champions Leicester City though after being granted compassionate leave following the death of his mother.

Claudio Ranieri is happy with the fitness of Danny Drinkwater, who has recovered from a groin injury and trained well on Thursday.

Nampalys Mendy is fit but is a doubt for this weekend due to a pain in his ankle.

Leicester will wear black armbands in this fixture as a mark of respect after the death of the King of Thailand from the homeland of the club's owners, the Srivaddhanaprabha family.

MATCH STATS

Chelsea are without a win in their last two Premier League meetings with Leicester (W0 D1 L1), after winning the six before that.

Leicester have registered only one win in their 10 Premier League visits to Stamford Bridge (D3 L6) - that win coming in September 2000 via a 2-0 scoreline.

However, the Foxes have lost only one of their last five top-flight trips to London (W3 D1 L1), this after losing 17 and drawing three of their previous 20.

Excluding penalties, Chelsea are one of two sides yet to score a goal from a set-piece situation this season (also Sunderland).
