mkuu Nonda what is the reason behind for extending ban to Diego Costa????

Lakini Hiddink alituambia Pato atakuwa fit baada ya international break...hope he will deputise effectively.

Brazilian enigma makes his debut and 'next Frank Lampard' gets his first league goal, Get West London's Dimitri Kondonis names other things we learned from today's clash.

Matt Miazga impressed

The young American centre-back was called up to start when both Gary Cahill and John Terry were ruled out before kick-off. Terry picked up a tendon problem, while Cahill was injured on international duty despite not playing. And it meant that the highly-rated Miazga got to make an impression on the first-team. The USA international impressed throughout, and despite the lacklustre opposition on display, looked in control at all times.

Don’t rule out Alexandre Pato

The Brazilian striker finally made an appearance in Chelsea blue when he came on as a first half substitute for Loic Remy. Pato looked eager to make an impact throughout, and played a large part in three of the goals. Having won the penalty, the Brazilian stepped up to score on his debut, before playing a lovely one-two with Oscar for Chelsea’s third. And he forced Guzan into a save before Pedro put Hiddink’s men 4-0 up as he helped the Blues run riot on his debut.

Guus Hiddink deserves credit for Chelsea’s unbeaten run

Chelsea continued their unbeaten streak to 15 games to continue the Hiddink recovery job. Having come in with the Blues teetering on the verge of relegation, the Dutchman has turned the Stamford Bridge side into a solid outfit. He hasn’t done the prettiest job, but the former Netherlands man deserves bundles of credit for the way in which he has solidified the Blues. And on Saturday, Chelsea fans got the demolition job they’ve been eager to see for some time, as well as some young blood.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek ran the show

The young Blues midfielder scored his first Premier League goal to steal the spotlight on Saturday. Having drawn comparisons to the likes of Michael Ballack and Frank Lampard, Loftus-Cheek ran the midfield at Villa Park. His goal, in particular, had shadows of Lampard and the youngster has lived up to those comparisons comfortably.

Pedro was back to his best

The Spain international returned to top form by scoring at the double at Villa Park. He looked a threat throughout and, assisted by the movement of Oscar and Pato, the former Barcelona man struck twice. His first came moments after the interval when the Brazilian duo linked up before setting up Pedro for a tap in. The second resulted after Guzan failed to deal with Pato’s side-foot at goal, leaving the winger an open goal to tap into
